The Forecast:
Mostly cloudy with light snow this afternoon. Dry and partly cloudy Wednesday.
The Science: The high
pressure ridge that has brought sunny and calm weather lately is beginning to
flatten out this morning, allowing upper level NW flow to impact the region. Cloud
cover will increase and embedded moisture with a weak frontal boundary
extending off a low waaay to our north will bring light snow showers this
afternoon. A short lived bump of high pressure will move thru tomorrow for a
mostly dry and mostly cloudy day with freezing levels bumping up a bit.
Long Range: The pattern this week is
progressive with a stronger system arriving Thursday, bringing moderate snow
thru Friday morning. Zonal flow sets up for the weekend with heavy snow
possible Saturday and Sunday.
Confidence: Good.
Values from 4am today through 4am
tomorrow.
