The Forecast:  Snow arrives this afternoon and will continue through the weekend.   Temperatures will be very much in favor of snow.

The Science: A band of moisture, out ahead of a cold front, will enter the mountains today.  Cool unstable WNW flow with potential convergence zone development will fill in behind the front.  The precipitation will shift to intermittent showers tomorrow with the next frontal band of moisture arriving on Saturday.       

Long Range.  Next week with trend dry under building high pressure.   

Confidence:  Fair:  There is uncertainty on snow amounts due to the convergence factor.
