3/14/2008 Weather Discussion: Scattered snow showers with sun breaks will persist in the mountains through tomorrow. Long-term models show a short lived dry spell on Sunday with the next more organized system bringing more snow for the beginning of the week. Forecast from Friday 4pm to Saturday 4am Precipitation .25 in. Water 2-4 in. Snow Temperatures Low 26 High 32 Winds 0-5 E Forecast for Saturday 4am to 4pm Precipitation .10 in. Water 1-3 in. Snow Temperatures Low 26 High 32 Winds 0-5 WNW TRENDS AND TIMING Precipitation: Snow showers will slowly taper off through the next 36 hours. Dry by 4am Sunday morning. Freezing levels: A cooling trend will continue into the weekend. Could see a bump in surface temps on Sunday but the overall freezing levels will remain below pass level well into next week. Winds: Light east flow will hold on until tomorrow morning. A light NW pattern will develop tomorrow. jdm
