Discussion: A cold front passing through the state will bring some light snow to the mountains today. High pressure is expected to build behind this front providing a dry day tomorrow.
Long-term models show another weak system moving through on Thursday/Friday with building high pressure once again bringing dry weather to the PNW for the weekend.

TRENDS AND TIMING
Precipitation: Light snow today, drying after midnight – dry Wednesday and most of Thurs.
Freezing levels: Freezing levels will be hover between 4 and 5K. East flow will keep surface temps low through tomorrow. A warming trend is expected for Thursday.
Winds: Light NW wind will swing north then E tomorrow. Some brisk east winds are possible as gradients strengthen west of the crest.
