Start Time Thursday-7:30am

We have reached the parameters for avalanche potential from the Susan Jane slide path to C-10 and C-11 loading areas. The layer we are watching is 4-6’ under this additional 56” of new snow. We are starting to see natural avalanche activity outside the area with 2-4’ crowns, not running very far at this time. We where going to try and heli-shoot SJ this morning but we did not have a good enough weather window and it dose not look like we will for a while. The weather forecast is for more precip. Through the weekend with temps. Rising between 3000’ and 5000’ with possible rain to about 4500’ Thursday and Friday. With the warming and additional snow load I think we are setting up for a potential big one. We will try and heli-shoot SJ early next week. In the mean time our plan is to monitor the temps. Over the through the weekend. On the Real Time Weather I moved the top temp. from Skyline to the top of Tyemill a little closer to Susan Jane. During the day if the temp at Tymill gets above 27 degrees and rising we will close the hiking route on Gemini, the Gemini trail into the saddle and the Outer Limits road. (Chris Brixey, could we look at options to veer skiers from upper voltage drop to Borealis? Gary, for grooming if the temp gets above 27 degrees and rising I would recommend not to use the Outer Limits road. I think you would be fine if you can climb the last face on Gemini. Shawn make sure Mike Powers gets this message for Nordic operations as I don’t know if he see his e-mail all the time. You can call me anytime on my cell # 206-949-7112 Jon
