Short term: An impressive storm will bring moderate to heavy snow for tomorrow.

Long-term: A steady stream of moisture will continue until Saturday morning. We will have to keep an eye on freezing levels early Friday morning as they rise to 4500’. The weekend is looking dry at this point as the next approaching system stalls just off the coast.

TRENDS AND TIMING
Precipitation: Snow will pick up after 7pm tonight and continue through tomorrow. The main event will happen after 4am with moderate to heavy snow through the day. 72 hours storm totals could exceed 2” of water.

Freezing levels: 2500-3500’ Freezing levels will trend up as this storm progresses. Surface temperatures should remain in our favor to keep us in snow tomorrow. 4-5000’ freezing level will be possible early Friday morning as a more southerly influence sets in.

Winds: SW flow will develop as the front moves through. Stevens is pretty protected from high SW winds so not expecting a huge problem with the winds. Southerly flow will continue through the end of the week. JDM
