Short term: A cold front will pass over today dropping freezing levels and turning the snow to showers.

Long-term: Another weak system will move through tomorrow to freshen the snow. A high pressure ridge will build tomorrow for a dry and partly sunny Sunday. The weather models disagree on what will transpire next week, so I will wait on that.

TRENDS AND TIMING
Precipitation: Snow will taper to light showers this afternoon and will continue through the night. A weak system will bring a few more inches of snow after 4am tomorrow.

Freezing levels: 2000-3000’. Freezing levels will fall in the wake of the cold front today. Freezing levels will stay around 2000’ until Sunday.

Winds: WSW flow will continue today. A short period of gusty westerlies will be possible tomorrow morning. JDM
