Short term: A nice cold front will produce snow in the mountains for the next few days. Pow day tomorrow.

Long-term: Snow will continue through Saturday morning. Saturday will be mostly dry and warm with another system moving in on Sunday. An active wet weather pattern will take us through the end of the month.

TRENDS AND TIMING
Precipitation: The snow will start out as showers today and then ramp up overnight. Convergence flow will enhance orographics for periods of heavy snow through the night. Snow will begin to taper off after noon tomorrow. Storm totals could exceed +1” of water.

Freezing levels: 2500-3500’ Freezing levels will continue to fall through the next 24 hours. Warming on Saturday.

Winds: Westerly flow will continue until Saturday morning. High westerly wind with gust to 40 will be possible during the early morning hours. Wind will begin to taper later in the day. JDM
