General Discussion: A warm front will push moderate to heavy moisture into the Cascades tonight. This storm will quickly move east tomorrow with cool air and light snow showers following in its footsteps.

Long-term: Snow showers are expected to continue through Wednesday. Cool and dry weather is taking shape for the weekend.


TRENDS AND TIMING
Precipitation: Snow will today and become heavy tonight. A short lived rain and or mixed rain and snow event will be possible below 5000’ during the early morning hours. Precipitation will taper off after 4am tomorrow morning.

Freezing levels: Freezing levels will spike up to 5000’ after midnight tonight. The temperatures will quickly fall tomorrow as cooler air moves in.

Winds: A brief period of east flow will develop this afternoon but it will be quickly taken over by SW then W winds. Strong westerly winds are expected to accompany the front so expect gusty condition for the start of your day tomorrow.
