Mountain Weather Forecast - Time: 0900

 The low pressure system that was sitting off the coast for the past few days will move east of the mountain today. The snow showers, concentrated on the eastern slopes of the Cascades, will diminish as a high pressure ridge prepares to move over the region tomorrow. Sun breaks and cooling can be expected to start the holiday week.

Long-term: The next organized storm will impact the area on Christmas day bringing more snow to the mountains. Snow will be likely Tuesday and Wednesday with the end of the week looking dry for now.

Trend and Timing:
Scattered snow showers will continue today and then taper off through the night. Except for a few snow showers hanging around, tomorrow will be mostly dry with sunshine.

Trend and Timing:
Winds will shift westerly early tomorrow morning. Watch for a short lived gusty wind event, mainly above 4500’ tomorrow morning.
