Mountain Weather Forecast -Time: 0945

Discussion: A cold front dropping in from the BC coast will bring more snow to Stevens Pass today. Light snow showers are expected tonight and tomorrow.

Long-term: Another nice looking system arrives on Thursday/Friday with yet another on Saturday/Sunday. The NW jet stream continues to direct winter storms at PNW for the long term. I am still betting on over 100” base by Christmas.

Trend and Timing:
Snow should arrive anytime now. The heaviest snow will be this afternoon with a short lived and weak convergence period. Light snow showers develop behind the front tonight.

Cold NW flow aloft will keep freezing levels well below 4000’ for most of the week.
