Mountain Weather Forecast -Time: 1000

Discussion: The skiing is pretty darn good this morning. These moderate snow showers will become less frequent as the day progresses. A warm front arrives early tomorrow with more snow and rising freezing levels.

Long-term: A low pressure system tracking south from the Gulf of Alaska will spin bands of moisture (snow) into the Cascades Mountains for the rest of the week. The models have this system staying off shore and continuing south. This could equate to a relatively quiet weekend of weather ahead.

Trend and Timing:
The snow will diminish through the day. Tonight will be mostly dry with snow developing after 4am tomorrow morning. Snow will intensify tomorrow.

Trend and Timing:
Freezing levels will remain low through the night. Temperatures will rise close to freezing with the passing of the warm front tomorrow. Temperatures will then slowly fall through the following 24hrs.
