Mountain Weather Forecast -Time: 1045

 The next frontal system has arrived with snow intensifying through the day. This storm has a southwest orientation so watch for the freezing levels to rise with the passing of the front later today. A cold front will follow tonight dropping temperatures and changing the snow to showers tomorrow.

Long-term: The low pressure system sliding down the coast will weaken and stay off shore through the week. After today’s initial assault, weak bands of snow showers with dry periods will persist through the weekend.
