Mountain Weather Forecast - Time: 1200

A cold front will move over the mountains around noon today. Once this occurs, temperatures will begin to fall. Light snow showers with increasing winds will be the main weather event tonight and tomorrow.

Long-term: Cool NW flow will begin on Thursday with snow showers persisting through the end of the week. The weekend appears to be mainly dry and cold.

Trend and Timing:
Mixed snow and rain will gradually diminish to light showers through the night. Mostly dry with some light snow showers are expected for most of the day tomorrow.

East flow will give way to strong westerlies later today. Watch for strong gusty conditions along the ridge tops through the night and early tomorrow morning.
