The 30 year average snow fall for Stevens Pass from Thanksgiving to Christmas is +- 82” Snow pack by Christmas averages around 50”. As you all are aware, we are well above that average. I remember only one year where we had a 100” base going in the Holiday period. I think that was 99/2000 or 01. “The big year”
There is nothing in the long term weather models that indicate that we will not reach a 100” of snow at the base by Christmas. We have already surpassed 100” on the upper mountain. 100" party anyone?
The 300mb jet stream forecast model keep it on a northern projectory through next week. This should continue bringing winter storms through the PNW for the extended period.
