Mountain Weather Forecast -Time: 0930


Well, so far so good in dodging the rain. According to Tyler C's birthday jedi force - "there will be no rain today".  

A strong cold front will reach the mountains tonight producing falling temperatures, high winds and more heavy snow.

Long-range: Cool northwest flow will continue producing snow through early Friday morning. High pressure building off of the coast will begin to dry things out on Friday with the weekend looking dry and warmer.

Water by 4am = 1+ Snow equivalent = +10-12

Trend and Timing:
The rain prospects will decrease after 2pm today. Once the Puget sound convergence zone develops later, snow will intensify. Snow will begin to lighten up tomorrow but remain fairly steady through the day.

Temperatures will fall sharply tonight in the wake of the approaching cold front. Low temperatures could reach the mid teens during the early morning hours.

Trend and Timing:
Winds will shift westerly and strengthen later this afternoon. A high wind advisory with gust over 50mph is in an effect. Winds will diminish through the night.
