MOUNTAIN WEATHER FORECAST

Time and Day: 1030 Monday

The Snapshot: Continued dry and seasonable warm for most of the upcoming week.

The Science: High cirrus clouds will move in this afternoon as a weakening frontal system develops off the coast.  This system is expected to remain offshore and dissipate.   High pressure centered over the interior mountains of Idaho will keep the Cascade mountain range void of precipitation through at least Thursday.

4-7day Long Range:  Long range models have a storm developing off of the BC coast on Friday.  Hopefully this will be the pattern change that allows cool NW flow to develop.  Confidence in the weekend weather will be much higher in a few days. As of now, it looks like rain/snow on Friday and Saturday with snow on Sunday.
