MOUNTAIN WEATHER FORECAST

Time and Day: 0930 Friday

The Snapshot: Snow showers will gradually taper off today, westerly winds with +- 4500’ freezing levels. Dry tonight and tomorrow.

The Science:  With some luck we will squeeze a few more inches of snow out of these showers. A weak convergence zone aimed at Stevens Pass will keep snow showers falling through mid to late afternoon.  Another weak cold front drops in on Sunday for another light rainy/snowy mix episode.

4-7day Long Range: Long range models are struggling to agree on next week’s forecast, so confidence is low.  With that said, the week will start out dry and warm with a few weak systems possible making their way through the region during the middle of next week.   No significant snow is expected for all of next week.
