Snapshot: We received the forecasted water of 1.02” all packed
into 7” of snow- a good base layer.
Light snow showers will continue today with steady snow and rain
developing tonight, rain likely below 4500’ tomorrow.
The
Science: Another warm
front approaching the region will produce another round of mixed precipitation
tonight and tomorrow. We will have to endure
fickle freezing levels for a few more days as they bounce between 4000’ and
5000’ through early Monday morning. A cold front Monday morning will produce moderate
snowfall in the mountains.

Long Range: High pressure is expected to produce dry and partly
sunny conditions on Tuesday. Christmas
day will be dry and partly cloudy. Another frontal system enters the scene late
next or early next weekend.
