MOUNTAIN WEATHER FORECAST

Time and Day: 0830 Monday

The Snapshot: Rain turning to snow today; snow showers persisting in the mountains through the night.  A drying and clearing trend begins tomorrow and continues through the end of the year.

The Science:  A cold front pushing a bunch of moisture ahead of it will sail through the region today.  Temperatures will drop, and precipitation will taper off in the wake of the front. A convergence zone will develop behind the front which will help keep snow showers falling into the night.
