MOUNTAIN WEATHER FORECAST

Time and Day: 0900 Friday

The Snapshot:  Well it is nice to see a little of the white stuff making it to the mountains. Clearing today with sun this afternoon and tomorrow.    Temperatures will struggle to make it into the teens today with below 0 wind chill temps expected.

The Science: The snow will be negligible as the cold front tracking south along the coast enters the Oregon territory. Some weak systems are now beginning to form imbedded in this cold unstable northerly flow. These minor systems will provide just dustings of snow with little accumulation on Sunday and Monday.

4-7day Long Range: No significant moisture is expected to reach the mountains until the middle of next week.  Temperatures will begin to warm toward the latter part of the weekend as the overall pattern begins to slowly change.   The next system of interest will enter the scene during the middle of next week.  Stay tuned.
