MOUNTAIN WEATHER FORECAST

Time and Day: 0930 Saturday

The Snapshot:  Hum? What to write about today?  High cirrus clouds this morning with clearing tonight.

The Science:  A weak system brushing the coast today has produced these high clouds.  There will be less direct sunlight, which should equate to less solar impact to the snow pack.  The temperature inversion is expected continue through this entire high pressure period.  The high cirrus clouds will pass today with clearing for the resort.

4-7day Long Range:   The air mass will continue to be stable under strong high pressure through all of next week. Strong inversion layers will continue especially on the west side of the Mountains.   No significant change is expected for the next 7-10 days.
