MOUNTAIN WEATHER FORECAST

Time and Day: 0900 Saturday

The Snapshot: The weekend will be full of sunshine and stars.

The Science:  High pressure centered off of PNW coast will drift east today for a dry and mostly clear weekend.  Cold air east of the crest and warm air advection along the western slopes will create east flow through the passes and slowly rising temperatures.  This pattern will persist through the first part of next week.

4-7day Long Range:  A few weak disturbances will bring a chance of some light snow on Tuesday and Wednesday.  I am still keeping an eye on the potential pattern change for the second half of next week, but it is still a bit far out for anything specific.
