The Snapshot: Snow and wind will taper
off in a few hours with potential sun break again this afternoon. Tonight will be relatively quiet with snow
again tomorrow.
The Science: The parade of fronts continues with the next system
arriving early tomorrow morning and the next Saturday and then again on
Sunday. All have spikes in temperatures
(4000’-5000’) and high winds associated with them, but the overall freezing
level should remain low enough for
most of precipitation to be snow. Snow
totals by the end of the weekend could exceed 2’ of additional snow.
4-7day Long Range: The storms keep rolling through the region through the middle of next
week. The jet stream begins to move N during
the next few days for a cooler NW flow pattern to start the new week. It could be exceptional sliding next week.
