MOUNTAIN WEATHER FORECAST

Time and Day: 0700 Tuesday

The Snapshot:   Dig out (instead of keep up) time begins today with the end of the snow.  Today will be mostly dry with dissipating clouds.

The Science:  The low pressure system that has been the engine for this past storm cycle will break up today.  This, coupled with a weak high pressure system centered over Idaho will create a dry period for the North Central Cascades for the remainder of the week.

4-7day Long Range:  Most of the energy tracking toward the PNW late in the week is currently tracking south of the region. Therefore, no significant precipitation is expected for the next 4-7 days for Stevens Pass.  A cold snap will begin on Friday with low temperatures hitting single digits over the weekend.
