MOUNTAIN WEATHER FORECAST

Time and Day: 0930 Thursday

The Snapshot: -8f this morning, add in the wind chill of 14mph = -30f.  Hang in there, warmer air is on the way.   Today will stay cold, windy and dry.

The Science:  A low pressure system developing off the Oregon coast will push a couple of weather systems southeast along the Columbia River during the next few days.  Therefore, most of the energy (precipitation) will be south of Stevens Pass.   Cool easterly flow will remain intact so the moisture that does make it to Stevens will be snow.   The weekend is now trending partly sunny and mostly dry.

4-7day Long Range: Long range models are all over the board on what to expect next week.  Next weeks overall trend is wetter and warmer.
