MOUNTAIN WEATHER FORECAST

Time and Day: 1200 Wednesday

The Snapshot:   The snow is starting to corn up nicely today.   Another round of rain and snow will enter the mountains this evening with light scattered showers and sun breaks tomorrow.  It seems like we will be stuck with this on-off, snow- rain pattern for the next 4-7 days.

The Science:  The low pressure system parked off the coast will continue to swing bands of precipitation into the Cascades through the weekend.  Freezing levels will bounce between 4000’ and 5000’ through this series of weak fronts.  Therefore, rain and snow can be expected to continue into the coming weekend.

4-7day Long Range:  Starting Friday, the weather will trend wetter as more moisture gets entrained from the SW.   Next week will start out dry with more systems moving through on Tuesday.

16hr Water by 4am tomorrow  = .5   Snow = 3-5
24hr water by noon tomorrow = .5  Snow = 3-6
