MOUNTAIN WEATHER FORECAST

Time and Day:

The Snapshot:  Warm and dry today with rain tomorrow.  

The Science:  High pressure and warm southerly flow could deliver the highest temperatures of the season today.  Another frontal system will bring rain to the mountains tomorrow.  A cold front following the rain will lower temperatures and bring and end to the precipitation early Wednesday morning.  High pressure rebuilds on Wednesday.

4-7day Long Range:  Cooler and dry for the remainder of the week.

16hr Water by 4am tomorrow  = 0  Snow = 0
24hr water by noon tomorrow = .10   Snow = 0

Trend and Timing:
Dry through the night with rain entering the mountains around mid morning tomorrow.    Rain is expected to continue through early Wednesday morning.  Could see a little snow on the tail end of the system but little accumulation is expected.

Low: 36  High: 50
Freezing level: +8000’

Trends and Timing
Surface temperatures are NOT expected to drop below freezing until early Wednesday morning.

 Light southerly flow today.  Winds will shift westerly and strengthen with the passing of the front tomorrow.
