0630 Saturday:
The Snapshot: Mostly dry with broken clouds
today. Snow tonight and tomorrow. Snow changes to rain tomorrow night and
continues into Monday.
The Science: A weak high-pressure ridge passing over the
mountains today will produce a relatively quiet +12hrs of weather. A vigorous storm approaching the coast will
bring heavy snow to the Pass tomorrow.
Freezing levels are expected rise above 4000’ after 7pm and then 5000’
around midnight. The change from
yesterday is that temperatures are now expected to stay above freezing through
Monday, so little to no snow below 5000’ on the back side of this system. Rain totals from midnight Sunday through midnight
Monday = +-2”.
Long
Range: The precipitation ends early Tuesday
morning with warm and dry weather developing. Mixed rain and snow will be possible by the
end of the week.
