MOUNTAIN WEATHER FORECAST

0700 Tuesday:

The Snapshot:  Rain ends today with the rest of the week tending dry.  The sun may even make an appearance. 

The Science: High pressure strengthening over the intermountain west will begin to dry the Cascades out today.   Warm southerly air will continue to move up the west coast with some light moisture along for the ride.  Therefore, expect a chance of some spotty showers mixed with clear skies for the rest of the week. 

Long Range:  Weak high-pressure with warm southerly flow will dominate the weather pattern through the upcoming holiday weekend.

Tomorrow’s 24hr Water =0   Snow = 0

Trend and Timing:
Remnant shower will linger along the crest today with the drying trend begin this evening.

Low: 30  High: 38
Freezing level: +- 5000.’

Trends and Timing:
East flow and clearing could drop early morning lows below freezing.  Freezing levels will rise to +7000’ towards the end of the week.

Base: 0-5 W shifting E
Ridge Top: 5-10 W  

Trend and Timing:
Surface winds shift easterly overnight while WSW flow aloft remains intact.
