Time and Day: 11:00 Friday
The Snapshot: Snow will shift to light showers this
afternoon. Tonight and tomorrow will be
relatively dry with the next storm arriving early Sunday morning.
The Science: The tail end of the frontal boundary has passed east
of the mountains. The precipitation will
shift to showers and all but dry up tonight; temperatures will also begin fall. Weak up level ridging will produce some
clearing tonight; we might even get a peak at the sun tomorrow.
A low-pressure system spinning off
the BC coast will drive the next system toward the PNW early Sunday morning with
another foot or more of snow expected by Monday morning.
Long
Range: NW flow will keep snow in
the forecast through the middle of next week.
A high-pressure system is
beginning to appear in the long range models for a potentially dry and clear
Christmas Holiday weekend.
