MOUNTAIN WEATHER FORECAST

Time and Day: 0600 Sunday

The Snapshot:  Snow changing to mixed snow and rain showers today.  Snow changing to rain tonight with heavy rain tomorrow and Tuesday.

The Science:  Warm southerly flow with an entrained stream of moisture will bring rain to Stevens Pass below 4500’ tonight through Tuesday.  +-3” of rain can be expected by midnight Tuesday.  

Long Range:  The pattern will begin to change on Wednesday to cooler NW flow with snow ending the week.

Trend and Timing:
Mixed rain and snow showers today.  Snow turning to heavy rain tonight.

Temperatures will slowly rise through the next 24hrs.  Freezing levels could peak around 8000’ on Tuesday.
