MOUNTAIN WEATHER FORECAST

Time and Day: 0900 Saturday

The Snapshot:  The weekend will remain mostly dry with broken clouds.  

The Science: The atmosphere over the North Cascade Mountains will remain mostly dry with temperature inching down.  A weak disturbance tracking up the western slopes will dissipate as it hits the mountains today.  A high pressure ridge will build tonight for some clearing tomorrow and Monday.

Long Range:  A more organizes system arrives on Tuesday night for some potential precipitation and higher freezing levels.  Models still don’t agree on the details, so stay tuned.

Mostly dry through Tuesday morning.

Cool air filtering in from the NE will keep surface temperature in the low 20’s.  Some sunshine could briefly push temperatures near 30 at times.  Warming begins Monday.
