MOUNTAIN WEATHER FORECAST

Time and Day: 0930 Tuesday

The Snapshot:  Mixed snow and rain showers through tomorrow.  Cooler with snow finishes the week.

The Science:  Periods of mixed rain and snow showers with temperatures holding around the freezing mark will be the weather game today.   Warm, unstable southerly-westerly flow will continue to produce mild temperatures through tomorrow night.  

A cold air mass begins to lower temperatures on Thursday with some fresh snow finishing out the week.  

The Long Range:  High pressure is expected to build over the PNW on Saturday.  So, for now, we will go with dry and clear weather for the weekend.

Today 24hr water = .25 Snow = 1-3

Tomorrow’s 24hr water = .5  snow = 0-2

Trend and Timing:
Light rain and snow showers tonight with mostly rain showers tomorrow.

Freezing level: 4500- 5500’+

Trend and Timing:   
Freezing levels will hover near 4500’ today and begin to rise to 6000’ by tomorrow tonight.   Freezing levels will remain well above Pass level until early Thursday morning.
