MOUNTAIN WEATHER FORECAST

Time and Day:  0700 Tuesday

The Snapshot:  It has cooled off nicely under clear skies this morning.  Prepare for another warm and sunny day with increasing clouds tonight.  Rain is expected for the second half of the week.

The Science: Temperatures could climb few degrees higher today as the high pressure over the region bumps up a notch.   A weak cold front, currently well offshore, will push the high-pressure east of the region starting tomorrow.  This will open the door for a progressive wet pattern to start.  Temperatures will remain on the mild side through the week, so any precipitation we receive will likely be in the form of rain.

The Long Range:   Freezing levels bump down on Saturday with snow possible.  Another warm front enters the scene on Sunday with wet (currently rain) conditions continuing.
