Time and Day: 0730
Sunday
The Science: A strong cold front associated with a deep low pressure system off the coast will cross Stevens Pass today. Cool and moist WNW upper level flow will maintain good orographic snow showers following the front. Convergence effects may be a factor with this event. The exact track of the low pressure center will determine wind speeds this afternoon, but the general setup will be unaffected and heavy snow is expected. Moderate snow will continue Monday through Tuesday morning.
The Long Range:
Snow showers should end Tuesday, with cool temperatures. High pressure and warming should begin mid-week.
