MOUNTAIN WEATHER FORECAST

Time and Day: 0700 Friday

The Snapshot:  It will be few degrees warmer and with some high clouds moving in today.   Dry, warm and cloudy weather tomorrow with light rain developing on Sunday.  

The Science:  Clear this morning with high cirrus clouds streaming in through the day in response to the approaching system.  A low-pressure cell building in the Gulf of Alaska will begin to spin moisture into PNW starting on Sunday.  Initially, the high-pressure centered east of the Cascades will block all but the clouds.  Light rain will eventually make it to the mountains sometime early Sunday morning.     

The Long Range:   An active weather pattern returns on Sunday with periods of mixed rain and snow for the first half of the new week.

Dry today with light rain developing early Sunday morning.
