MOUNTAIN WEATHER FORECAST

The Snapshot:   Happy first day of Spring.  Another warm day with light rain showers developing.  Light rain turning to snow tomorrow.

The Science:   The Spring Equinox started at 6:29 am this morning.  One of the only two days of the year where there is 12hrs of daylight and 12hrs of darkness everywhere on the planet.   Your fun science fact for the day.

A frontal system will enter the PNW today bringing light rain to Stevens Pass through tomorrow.  A cold front will swing through tomorrow night lowering freezing levels and providing a few inches of spring snow.

The Long Range:  Typical spring like weather with rain/snow showers and clear periods will be the pattern through most of the upcoming week.

Today 24hr water = .25 Snow = 0-1

Tomorrow’s 24hr water = .25 snow = 2-4

Trend and Timing:
Light rain today shifting to mixed snow and rain and eventually snow over the next 24-48hrs.
