Time and Day: 0730 Tuesday
The Snapshot: Snow showers today and tomorrow with some clearing.
The Science: 3” of snow fell overnight.
Snow showers will continue today under
cool westerly flow. A weak upper-level ridge will allow some clear periods
to form through most of tomorrow. A
strong frontal system will move in tomorrow night with moderate mixed rain and
snow changing to snow. Snow will
continue under steady NW flow to finish out the week. I guess winter isn’t done quite yet.
The Long Range: High
pressure is expected to build the NW coast over the weekend. However, models diverge on how this will affect
the region.
