MOUNTAIN WEATHER FORECAST

Time and Day:  0700 Tuesday

The Snapshot:  Clear skies with warm springtime temperature will grace the PNW for the remainder of the week.  Light rain for the weekend.

The Science:  The atmosphere over the most of the state has stabilized under a rising barometer.  Satellite imagery shows clear skies over the entire state.  Early morning temperatures have dropped below freezing this morning but will quickly climb into the upper 40’s as the sun begins to take effect.  The air mass will warm even further tomorrow with early morning temperatures struggling to drop below freezing.

The Long Range:   Clear and warm weather will persist for the rest of the week.  Long-range models have the high pressure breaking down and drifting east on Saturday.  This may allow some rain to enter the scene over the weekend.
