MOUNTAIN WEATHER FORECAST

Time and Day: 0730 Tuesday

The Snapshot: Mostly dry today with snow developing tonight; snow and rain tomorrow night and then again on Friday.

The Science:  Clouds will thicken today as the next system approaches.  This storm is expected to weaken as it moves through,  so, only a few inches of snow is expected.

The main event this week arrives tomorrow afternoon as a strong low-pressure system tracks up the northwest coastline.  Heavy snow will begin tomorrow afternoon and turn to rain and then diminish to snow showers early Thursday morning.   The spike in temperatures is fairly short lived so there is a possibility that the rain bullet could be dodged again.

The Long Range:  Snow and rain will continue through the weekend.
