Time and Day: 0800 Friday
The Snapshot: Hit repeat
today with sunshine and temperatures once again in the mid to upper 50’s. A cooling trend begins tomorrow. The steeps are sliding in the afternoon heat
(snowpack is isothermal) so watch it out there.
The Science: Washington State is nestled
between two strong high pressure ridges; one to the east and one to the
west. The western ridge is expected to
drift over the region over the next 24-48hrs.
Cooler air from the north will start to bring freezing levels down a bit. Hopefully, that will help firm up the snowpack
a bit.
The Long Range: Next
week will start out dry and cooler with light rain expected on Wednesday.
