Time and Day: 0630
Tuesday
The Snapshot: Dry
and cold with gusty easterly winds today and tomorrow, a chance of some very
light snow Thursday with dry condition going into the weekend.
The Science: Current satellite imagery has skies clearing
over western Washington and a thin layer of stratus clouds to the east. The barometer has bumped up a few notches
which will mark the start of a drying
trend for the PNW. Cold temperatures
will also be part of the conversation as another cold air mass descends from Canada.
The Long Range: A low-pressure
system tracking up the coast will bring some snow to the southern portion of
the state on Thursday. Current models do not have this system reaching as far north
as Stevens Pass. High pressure building
in the Gulf of Alaska will keep Stevens mostly dry into the early part of the
weekend. There is another storm
beginning to take shape for early next week, but way
too far out to get to excited about, just yet.
