Time and Day: Tuesday 0730
The Snapshot:
Mostly dry today with increasing clouds, rain tomorrow with rain switching to
snow showers on Thursday. Light snow
showers are expected to persist through the
weekend.
The Science: This morning’s radar has rain falling just
off shore of the Olympic coast and clear skies over the Cascade Mountains. The expected warm front will slowly track NE
over the next 12-24hrs bringing rain to the mountains tomorrow. A cold front will swing through early Thursday
morning, lowering freezing levels and shifting the rain to intermittent snow
showers.
The Long Range: A weak low-pressure
system passes through on Saturday with a ridge of high pressure developing on
Sunday. Therefore, expect snow showers
Friday and Saturday with clearing on Sunday.
