Time and Day: 1000 Wednesday
The Snapshot: In like a Lion. Snow will lighten up today and ramp back up
tomorrow and Friday. There should be
plenty of snow to play with through the weekend.
The Science: Pressure gradient will weaken a bit today which
will shift the snow to light showers this afternoon. However, good convergence zonal flow could
provide periods of intense showers throughout the day. A cold front developing in the Gulf of Alaska
will push the next batch moisture in tomorrow with heavy snow expected tomorrow
and Friday. The leading edge of the
Friday’s cold front is not expected to move east of the Cascades until late in
the day. Therefore, temperatures will be
near freezing through most of Friday.
The Long Range: The snow machine will keep right on cranking
through the weekend and likely into early next week.
