Time and Day: 1230 Saturday

The Snapshot: 14” of cold snow overnight, partly cloudy with light snow showers today and tomorrow.

The Science: A low pressure center offshore will rotate bands of snow through Washington over the next 24 hours. Upper level west flow will continue Sunday with continued light snow and cool temperatures. A convergence zone will setup Sunday night in Central Washington. Stevens Pass could see locally higher amounts of snow than the rest of the Cascades by Monday morning.

The Long Range: Strong west flow develops again Monday. A series of fronts move through the area during the week. A warmer event looks possible on Thursday but stand by as details will surely change.
