MOUNTAIN WEATHER FORECAST - UPDATE

 Mid-Day Weather Update

Time: 1200

Changes to morning forecast:
It’s nice to see these light passing showers in the form of snow.  We can thank the cool upper level east flow for that.  The precipitation value have changed slightly since this morning with +.25”  of water and 0-2” of snow possible.  Warming through the day with freezing levels rising to +5000’ is still expected with freezing levels dropping after sunrise tomorrow morning.   All other values remain the same as earlier.

Current Observations:  The radar has very light showers forming over the Cascade Crest with mostly dry conditions over the Puget Sound region.  It is currently 36 degrees in the base area and at Tye Mill, and snowing.  The winds are light and easterly and the barometer is holding steady at 1006 mb’s.
