Current Observations:
The satellite radar has snow
beginning to fall in the mountains. The temperature profile is 27 base / 22
ridges. The barometer remains low at 998mb’s. The winds are light and starting to blow from
the west.
The Forecast: A low pressures
system centered over the PNW will spin the next band of moderate precipitation into
the mountains today. The atmosphere will slowly stabilize over the weekend as high pressure begins to build up
from the south.
Therefore we can expect passing snow shower with clear periods
for the next 2-4 days.
The Long Range: After today, there are no significant
storms on the horizon until possibly late next week.
