A word about the Vernal Equinox
Vernal is the Latin work for spring and equinox literally means "equal night." Everywhere on earth will experience approximately 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of night. There are only two times a year when the
sun shines directly at the equator and the tilt of the Earth’s axis
is perpendicular to the sun’s rays; Today and September 21st.
Current Observations:
The clouds cleared out overnight
with clear conditions being reported.

The Forecast: A
fairly stable atmosphere will produce mostly clear weather for the next

tomorrow as a low pressure system developing in the Gulf of Alaska begins to
track SSE. Light mixed rain and snow
will begin late tomorrow night or early Thursday morning with an intermittent
showery pattern expected on Thursday. A
cold front will swing in late Thursday, dropping the freezing levels and switching
the rain to snow.
The Long Range: Intermittent snow showers will
persist through the weekend with more active weather expected early next
