Mid-Day Weather Update



Time: 1200 pm

Changes to morning forecast:  No changes to this morning’s forecast.   The leading edge of the cold front is just entering the South Sound region and should pass over Stevens Pass in a few hours (+- 2pm).  A little westerly wind event will be the indicator.   The rain will shift to intermittent snow showers from that point on with 1-3” of snow likely on the upper ridge and maybe and inch or two in the base area by morning. 

Current Observations:  .21” of rain has fallen thus far today.  The temperature profile of 38f base / 38f ridge,  the barometer has fallen to  1010mb’s.  the ridge top winds are easterly and blowing 5-10 mph’s.
